The Des Moines Derby Brats!

Formed in 2011 by World Speed Skating Champion Romina Muse, the Des Moines Derby Brats roller derby teams provide area youth with an alternative sport opportunity that fosters discipline, team work and social acceptance in addition to rockin' skating skills!

Beginning with just six skaters, the team has grown to more than 60 members, including the All-Star traveling team, the Bravo team and the Tootsie Rollers.

The Des Moines Derby Brats All-Stars, coached by speed skating legend and Hall of Famer Mark Muse, are currently ranked #6 in the nation by the Junior Roller Derby Association and are the 2014 & 2016 JRDA National Champions!
